Search and Rescue

The search and rescue training is offered in a basic version (RS1) or an advanced version (RS2). Participants will be made aware of the legal implications of a search and rescue operation in the field before being trained on the actual search operations and the fundamentals of navigation (GPS, maps, compass). The basic training is aimed at any volunteer participating in such operations, while the advanced training is suitable for coordinators.
Cost and duration
Duration: Variable, 8 hours (RS1), 16 hours (RS2), price available upon request.
Prerequisit
No prerequisites, but it is recommended that participants take the First Aid in Remote Regions (SRI) course before or after this training.
Certification
The certificate is valid for three years. SIRIUSMEDx issues a digital certification recognizing your learning.
Recertification
To recertify, you must retake this training before your certification expires.
