This conference on first aid in the context of climbing is aimed at climbers so that they are well-prepared to react quickly and correctly in case of injuries or emergencies during a climbing session.

This portion of the training is theoretical and in virtual mode; it will allow participants to learn specific medical knowledge of first aid adapted to climbing.

1. Common climbing injuries : Participants will become familiar with the most frequent injuries in climbing and will be able to react accordingly.

2. Emergency evacuation : They will be made aware of how to effectively plan the evacuation of an injured person from a climbing site.

3. First aid kits : Participants learn what to have in their climbing-specific first aid kits (appropriate medical supplies for common climbing injuries).

4. Injury prevention : The training emphasizes injury prevention by provinding advice and tips for climbing safety, such as proper use of climbing equipment, identifying hazardous weather conditions, and risk management.

SIRIUSMEDx reserves the right to cancel a course if the minimum number of participants is not reached. If SIRIUSMEDx cancels a course due to insufficient participants, SIRIUSMEDx will refund the full course fee or transfer the course to another available date.

1. If you cancel a course 30+ days before it is due to start, the full course fee will be refunded.

2. If you cancel a course between 15 and 29 days before the start of the course, you will be refunded 50% of the fees paid OR we will transfer your registration to a subsequent available date (1 year), subject to a $25 administration fee.

3. If you cancel 14 days or less before the course start date, there is no refund. We can also move your registration to a later date (1 year), for a fee of $45.
