Tactical medicine course for civilians.

This course is designed for police officers, peace officers, security guards, first responders, emergency medical responders, primary and advanced care paramedics, nurses and physicians. The course is entirely face-to-face and lasts 18 hours.

The training is structured and delivered by International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) instructors with experience in tactical medicine. ITLS is a global non-profit organization working to reduce morbidity and mortality caused by trauma. To achieve its goal, ITLS promotes a program of excellence in trauma education and intervention.

  • This ITLS training course is :

  • • Practical : The ITLS approach is realistic, based on case studies, and works very well in the field, from the accident scene to the operating room.

    • Dynamic : LITLS training content is up-to-date, relevant and reflects the latest thinking on trauma management.

    • Flexible : Content is customized and adapted to local needs and specific learner requirements.

    • Team-oriented : ITLS training encourages a unified team approach that can be applied in real-life situations and that recognizes the importance of your role.

    • Demanding : The ITLS course sets ambitious performance targets in the field by combining theoretical courses with practical application workshops.

  • The training content is that approved by the Committee on Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (C-TECC). It is also a non-profit organization that provides biannual updates on patient care in a civilian tactical medical context. It differs from Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), which is a military-oriented organization.
